SPIRITUAL TRAUMA: Healing Our Spiritual Wounds

I am a Certified Professional Life Coach trained in trauma and resilience, specializing in spiritual trauma.

I am not a therapist and not trying to be one. 

I have been deeply impacted by spiritual trauma, and I continue to struggle with its effects.

It is heartbreaking to witness the profound impact of spiritual wounds on so many individuals. 

To assist others, I have concentrated my practice on helping individuals struggling with spiritual wounds.

Spiritual wounds are complex because they are intertwined with other aspects of life, such as relationships with others, yourself, and God. 

I seek to create a safe space that reflects God's inclusive love.

As a community, we will embark on a new journey, a journey of healing our spiritual wounds. 

That means we are dealing with an intense topic with numerous issues. We need to recognize that something cherished by one can be triggering for another.

I want everyone to feel safe, and I don't want to offend anyone or confine anyone's beliefs, but we will have to address topics that may be a struggle for some of you.

It's disheartening that places meant for nourishment, healing, and wholeness become sites of trauma.

It is because of this very nature that spiritual trauma really is quite complex.

It's often unintentional. Sometimes, people get hurt accidentally. I recognize that this happens. 

But we will be discussing hurts that go much deeper, hurts that go against what is sacred and inflict harm.

This pain can become deeply rooted in our minds and bodies, impacting our self-image, relationships, and spirituality. It can even shape our perception of God.

These complex wounds are challenging to overcome because they involve uncovering and healing multiple layers.

For this reason, we will be focusing on:

1. Healing the image of God, 
2. Healing the image of self, and 
3. Healing the image of others.
4. Where is God when I need Him?
